Description
The program is designed for current and aspiring corporate directors, and organizations interested in the latest data and insights on diversity, equity and inclusion and board decision-making. The program also will cover how individuals can prepare for service on a for-profit board and ways to advance skills as a sitting director. It is open to members and non-members of NACD.
Featured speakers include directors from a diverse set of corporate boards, including Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Fifth Third Bank, Bassett Furniture Industries, Sunoco Products, Syneos Health and ChannelAdvisor. They will address topics ranging from what companies are seeking in board directors; strategic priorities for corporations and implications for corporate governance; and balancing the racial justice movement and brand management. T
The program is presented in partnership with OnBoardNC, an organization that identifies and onboards highly qualified, board-ready female executives from the greater Research Triangle Park region, and the Director Diversity Initiative (DDI) of the UNC School of Law, which works with profit and non-profit boards of directors to increase their gender, racial and ethnic diversity. This is the first time that the 3 organizations have collaborated on education and outreach for the benefit of current and aspiring corporate directors.
